happy aprons.

so along with teacups, globes, books, busts, vintage fabric, birds' nests, and anything mint green, i also collect vintage aprons. i stumbled upon a really great one today at one of my new favorite stores in the french quarter, a to z consign it. the selection there is pretty amazing and the guys are super sweet too.

and oh look it's got horsies on it! i just love it.

this one belongs to my friend amanda. umbrella for a pocket! shut. up. i snatched it from her so i could use it as a pattern for a skirt. i feel like i need umbrella pockets in my life.

here are a few others i have collected over the years. i have no problem wearing these kitchen accessories in real life. i think they are absolutely adorable over dresses.

a few months ago, i did a shoot in city park with miss abadie here. with the help of the sun, beautiful mossy surroundings, and erica langhoff (to tote our equipment, fluff hair, lipstick reappliance, etc.) they came out beautifully. here are a few of my favorites...

inspiration for the shoot came from the sweet erin fetherston and her perfect glittered animal masks. i want to wear these guys everywhere. love love love.
